My guide to commissioning artwork
– I really do understand that this is not a ‘normal’ thing to do and understand you may have lots of questions be nervous in asking
– No question is a stupid question , just ask
– I totally DO NOT expect people to be familiar with costs involved and the way commissioning works
– Meeting in person is always the ideal way to figure out a plan, but if that’s not possible, a wee chat on the phone or email is all good too
– It is best to give me an idea of your budget straight away, this gives me an idea of what is possible & we can work from there
– The cost of a commissioned painting will roughly depend on factors such as size, materials required & the subject matter involved. However I always try and offer something to suit everyone’s budget
– All I require is an idea or some photographs & we can start from there
– I can sometimes also visit a location to take photographs
Once i have an idea of your budget & subject matter for the work i can offer you a choice of sizes and formats including bespoke framing if required
– We can discuss colours & styles of painting. Really helps if you can give me examples of previous paintings of mine or other artists you like elements of
– These or anything else on this website should give you an idea of what is possible
– To view some of my other more abstract, urban and graffiti mural work visit my other site here
– If you would like a reference or feedback from any of my clients just ask
I can also make you a mockup image from a photograph of your space to give you an idea of size of work you would need, style & colour etc
See my Try Before You Buy / Mockups page for lots more information & examples
