  • A Giclee print is a high resolution print of the original painting.
  • Prints are produced with an HD printer using light fast pigment inks as opposed to dye based ink.
  • The High definition printer used can produce a far wider spectrum of colour and vibrancy.
  • Printing is on archival Fine Art, textured papers which are acid free & light fast, so no fading for over 90 years.
  • A border is left around the image to allow for framing.
  • Titled & signed on the border by Andy and arrives in a protective postal tube or flat in cardboard.
  • Please handle Giclee prints very carefully as the ink is almost powdery on the surface and is easily marked.

About the original painting

Eilean Donan Castle Winter Dusk, an original contemporary Scottish landscape painting canvas and art prints

Eilean Donan Castle is in The West Highlands of  Scotland and stands between the two Scottish sealochs, Loch Alsh and Loch Duich. Next to the village of Dornie, Kyle Of Lochalsh, Inverness-shire

The views across to Skye and up and down the Lochs however are superb.
And the drive from Inverness is also awesome in any weather, i reckon!

An original abstract, atmospheric seascape / landscape painting of Eilean Donan Castle in Winter at Dusk.
A dramatic mix of mediums are blended layered and splattered over the canvas to produce a very atmospheric painting depicting the ever changing wild weather that constantly rips across The Kyle Of Lochalsh and Isle Of Skye.

In my version of the castle the focus is more on the surrounding view, using different types of paint and application to try and create my unique take on the castle on Lochs, Skye and Cuillin Hills.
The painting continues around the deep edges of the canvas giving a very contemporary style although it can be framed if you wish.
Original mixed media painting in acrylic paint, spray paint, oil paint and acrylic ink on box canvas.
