Giclee Prints - Info - Click To View

– An extra border is added which is titled & signed, ready for framing

A Giclee print is a high resolution print of the original painting.
Prints are produced with an HD printer using light fast pigment inks as opposed to dye based ink.
The High definition printer used can produce a far wider spectrum of colour and vibrancy.
Printing is on archival Fine Art, textured papers which are acid free & light fast, so no fading for over 90 years.
A border is left around the image to allow for framing.
Titled & signed on the border by Andy and arrives in a protective postal tube or flat in cardboard.
Please handle Giclee prints very carefully as the ink is almost powdery on the surface and is easily marked.

A framer will know how to put your print in a suitable frame

This provides the border around the image for framing.

Comes with a hard backing board & cellophane protective sleeve.
There are only a few sizes available as postage costs and risk of damage with larger sizes are too high.

Unframed prints can be purchased in larger sizes and your local framer can mount for you when framing

Sizes upwards of Large are normally presented in a 3.5cm thick frame.
All Andy’s work suits black as it really ‘pops’ the colours out.
Frames are all ready to hang easily, with a grip fixing on the reverse.
All are titled & signed on the mount by Andy.

– Block Mounts have 1.5cm thick edges and a sunken keyhole hanger on the back

– Edges are painted black

Professionally printed direct to photographic paper & laminated to 8mm thick black edged board.
Specialist lamination heat bonds the print to board & is UV light proof / archival protecting the print for at least 100 years.
Block mounting is an unusual and very contemporary style of presentation, particularly suiting Andy’s work.
Blocks have a sunken keyhole hanger on the reverse making them easy and ready to hang.

They will hang flush with your wall or can be presented free standing on a shelf for example

An original abstract, atmospheric seascape / landscape painting of a spring tide on Luskintyre Beach, Isle of Harris, Hebrides, Scotland.
A mix of mediums are blended, layered, sprayed, scraped and splattered over the canvas to produce a very unique & atmospheric painting, depicting the ever changing wild weather that constantly sweeps across Scotland’s Hebridean islands & Highlands from The Atlantic.

I love to combine & layer different types of paint & application of mediums including spray paint, oil paint, acrylic paint & others, creating a unique style of atmospheric painting full of vibrant colour & drama.

This painting has been created with some semi neon spray paint giving a luminous glowing effect when seen in the flesh.

The painting continues around the deep edges of the canvas giving a very contemporary style although it can be framed if you wish.
