– Dimensions given are the image size

– An extra border is added which is titled & signed, ready for framing

– Custom sizes are also available on request

Standard sizes are –

A Giclee print is a high resolution print of the original painting

Prints are produced with an HD printer using light fast pigment inks as opposed to dye based ink

The High definition printer used can produce a far wider spectrum of colour and vibrancy

Printing is on archival Fine Art, textured papers which are acid free & light fast, so no fading for over 90 years

A border is left around the image to allow for framing

Titled & signed on the border by Andy and arrives in a protective postal tube or flat in cardboard

Please handle Giclee prints very carefully as the ink is almost powdery on the surface and is easily marked

A framer will know how to put your print in a suitable frame

There are only a few sizes available as postage costs and risk of damage with larger sizes are too high

Unframed prints can be purchased in larger sizes and your local framer can mount for you when framing

Blocks have a sunken keyhole hanger on the reverse making them easy and ready to hang

About the original painting

An original painting and prints of The Trotternish Ridge from near Sconser, Skye at sunset.

A mix of mediums are blended, layered, sprayed, scraped and splattered over the canvas to produce a very unique & atmospheric painting, depicting the ever changing wild weather that constantly sweeps from and across Scotland’s Inner Hebridean Isles

I love to combine & layer different types of paint & application of mediums including spray paint, oil paint, acrylic paint & others, creating a unique style of atmospheric painting full of vibrant colour & Scottish drama.

The painting continues around the deep edges of the canvas giving a very contemporary style although it can be framed if you wish.
